On Febraruy 20, 2009, ground was officially broken at the Kissimmee
Lakefront. Mayor Jim Swan, City Commissioners and staff welcomed the
public to launch the comprehensive redevelopment project. The
occasion marked the beginning of a multi-million dollar renovation
that will take place along 50 acres of the lakefront, bringing
enhancements to the publically owned park which were suggested by
Kissimmee residents.
Access Osceola was on hand to tape the event, which is airing on Bright House Channel 199 throughout the day.
